A print of one of the first X-ray radiographs by Wilhelm Röntgen of his wife Anna Bertha Ludwig’s left hand, made on 22 December 1895. It was presented to Professor Ludwig Zehnder of the Physik Institut, University of Freiburg, on 1 January 1896. The German caption Hand mit Ringen means “hand with rings”.
